HE-VA

We run our He-Va cultivation gear in various combinations. We use the Combi-Tiller in front of the discs to break the hard and pugged ground. Often on our second cultivation pass or straight into ploughed ground, we fold the ripper up and use the disc roller.

The disc roller is now equipped with its own set of levelling boards to ensure smooth paddocks. We have found that cultivating ground with discs works well because we can shift all of the soil without bringing up turf, stones or tree roots unlike other competitive tyned implements. The disc roller on its own is an excellent minimum tillage tool after harvest for incorporation of cereal and brassica residues.

We can tow the tip roller/roller drill behind the disc roller to smash clods and level the field, if this is the last pass we can put the grass or brassica seed on, leaving the seed covered in a firm, fine seed bed.

6m He-Va Tip-Roller Roller Drill / Air Seeder

This machine is used as a secondary cultivation & levelling machine attaching behind the discs as a roller drill & for rolling drilled ground to knock stones down.

It is a high capacity machine for broad acre roller drilling of all grasses & brassicas, running a  Swiss manufactured multi-seeder air delivery system.

The unique patented He-Va folding & pivoting system ensures weight is evenly distributed over its 3 sections. The roller follows the ground contour & can even straddle border dykes.

Features He-Va breaker rings which have aggressive teeth which break up clods & rubble, these rings sit loose in between the Cambridge rings. We also run a set of levelling boards which can drag soil around to level out humps & hollows. This is an ideal combination to plough furrows.

4M He-Va Combi-Tiller (sub soiler)

Towing this in front of the discs achieves deep minimum tillage cultivation without inverting the soil like a plough.

We can break a hard soil or ploughing pan, which is ideal for paddocks damaged by cows lifting and breaking the soil. Often after one pass it's sufficient for seeding, reflective of conditions.

5M He-Va Disc Roller

Chopping, mixing and incorporating stubble rather than lifting residue to the surface like a tyned implement.

This 5m He-Va disc roller helps break down trash of which this machine has a high clearance, limiting the home for pests like slugs.

This implement is our primary cultivator on ploughed ground as part of our full tillage option.
